We’ve heard from customers who want to electrify their homes and install solar, but who have received wildly different quotes and system recommendations at wildly different price points. Contractors have historically used past data from energy bills to understand and size a solar array. But energy bills don't get us far enough to understand how a future electric device (eg an EV) would impact energy usage and systems size. The building decarbonization community needs to develop business models that scale to meet our climate challenge and allow us to prioritize vulnerable communities in the transition. We are partnering with the Ortiz Group and PG&E to roll out some of the first in the nation neighborhood scale building decarbonization projects.
