SC Works (Catawba Region)

SC Works Catawba centers are part of the One Stop Job Center network, serving as the Employment Office for South Carolina. The Catawba region serves job seekers and employers in Chester, Lancaster and York counties. The centers provide a variety of free services for both job seekers and employers. The SC Works centers help connect job seekers in their talent pool to jobs in the Catawba region. With Employers and Job Seekers being the main beneficiaries, the focus of SC Works Catawba is to help meet the workforce needs of employers while empowering job seekers to reach stability. As an American Job Center, we embody the philosophy of the One Stop Shop. Essentially, when an employer or job seeker enters the door, they can expect to be met with comprehensive assistance. As a network of employment services, we partner with several stakeholders in the community such as businesses, educational and training institutions, community agencies and government agencies. SC Works Catawba serves as a workforce resource access point to the community. The programs and services provided assist employers in obtaining and training the best employees, and additionally help individuals gain training and education to become more employable. The primary goal of SC Works Catawba is to help job seekers who desire more meaningful careers, dislocated workers aiming to regain employment and youth who are focused on getting the right start. Because the programs are federally-funded, all services provided to job seekers and employers are always free of charge.
