This upcoming Thursday July 11th, Orange Sparkle Ball, Inc. will be participating in DRINKS x DESIGN: Equitable Mobility at Dequindre Cut Freight Yard in Detroit, Michigan hosted by Design Core Detroit.
Drinks x Design offers an opportunity for creative businesses throughout the city to open their doors and share their work with the public. Attendees come to meet new people, make connections, promote their creative endeavors and learn about other projects in their community.
Community engagement is key to our pilot approach at OSB. We are eager to join this event as we are currently engaged with Scrap Soils and Brother Nature Farm, Detroit based companies, for our first pilot surrounding the pickup of food waste. Our intention is to run 4 pilots in the Transportation Innovation Zone established by the Office of Mobility Innovation at The City of Detroit (OMI) so we've been working with OMI to identify community partners as well as working with local neighborhood associations and community groups to recruit interested participants for the pilots.
We look forward to networking and continuing to move the needle on the equitable mobility space.
