The Scottish Government has appointed five new?sportscotland board members. The Minister for Social Care, Mental Wellbeing and Sport, Maree Todd, has announced the appointment of Gillian Treasurer, Tony McDaid, Moira Connolly, Jane Gotts and Andrew Kerr. Gillian, Tony, Moira, Jane and Andrew joined the board in February 2025 and their appointments will be for four years. Chair of sportscotland board, Maureen Campbell, said: “Our new board members come from all walks of life and have a great interest in sport either personally or professionally. Steven Lytham and Bob Wyllie, sportscotland will be joining us on Thursday 27 February for our Winter Meet presenting: Shaping the Future of Work Based Learning. ? A key and relevant topic in our industry with the challenges we are facing. Steven is leading on the development of work-based placement support and partnerships across Tayside & Fife. Has worked at sportscotland for the last 14 years, having previously worked locally in Active Schools, Sport Development, and Coach Development. Bob Wyllie is leading on emerging work with the HeFe sector, including the Active Campus Network. Bob also manages key areas and staff across the People Development portfolio. He has worked at sportscotland for the last 15 years, having previously worked locally in Active Schools and leisure sector roles. Interesting and current topic to be discussing for sure!
