Scott System has been providing unique urethane and plastic formliner products for concrete installations since 1969. As the inventor and pioneer, Scott System has been innovating the formliner industry ever since, receiving more than 20 patents on concrete-forming-related products and thin brick systems for precast and cast-in-place applications. On March 4, 2019, the assets of Scott System were acquired by Access Anvil Corp, a Fort Miller Group Company, located in the Foothills of the Adirondacks in Greenwich, New York about 8 miles East of Saratoga.. The Fort Miller Group is a four-company Employee-Owned brand with more than 450 beneficial owners and 30+ fabricators, designers, schedulers, and planners. The Scott System brand will continue to operate as an industry pioneer offering innovative products integrated into the CNC design and fabrication capabilities at Access Anvil Corp., an ISO 9001:2015 certified company. One of Scott Systems’ most innovative contributions to the concrete industry is a method for integrally casting brick into concrete walls. Scott System also offers a variety of brick inlay products and systems for precast, tilt-up, and cast-in-place concrete applications. These formliners and brick inlay systems have been utilized worldwide on a variety of projects from highways to bridges, schools to parking decks, and all sorts of residential and commercial applications. Scott System is thrilled to see the Y-Wave coastal defense project designed by Ethan Aspiras and Marcus Morgan featured in Dezeen! Working with Fort Miller Group, these Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute students used digital fabrication and advanced concrete techniques to create ecological armoring units for the shoreline of Governors Island in New York. The multi-scalar design considers urban ecology, waterfront restoration, and material science - providing erosion protection while also serving as a nursery for marine life. Located in Denver, CO, 16 Chestnut is a 19-story LEED Platinum Certified 648,874 sq. ft. office building containing two levels of underground parking and five levels of above-ground parking.
