Scope also provides anesthesia care at multiple regional sites, including Cleveland, Kings Mountain, Lincoln, Mercy, Pineville, Stanly, and Union. Our team is comprised of specialists from academic and private institutions with the experience and training in cardiac anesthesia, hepatobiliary/transplant anesthesia, neuroanesthesia, obstetrical anesthesia, pediatric anesthesia, pediatric cardiac anesthesia, regional anesthesia, and trauma anesthesia. Scope is redefining the role of the anesthesia provider as a trusted partner on the patient care team by promoting a collaborative perioperative process from admission through discharge. We are devoted to team-oriented patient safety and satisfaction built upon our core values and principles of collaboration, compassion, and commitment to excellent care. We work in an anesthesia care team model. This means we partner with certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNA), surgeons, and perioperative staff, including nurses and technicians, to provide best-practice anesthesia services. We also work to forge strong partnerships with hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers (ASC’s), healthcare systems, and insurance providers in the North Carolina area to further support our mission.

In August, Dr. Tony Wright, Scope teammate, donated over 20 pieces of his personal artwork to the Union Charity Art Auction. This event raised over $2,000 and the proceeds were dedicated to the Doll Therapy Program and the Tickled Pink Breast Cancer Program at Atrium Health Union. Dr. Wright “developed an interest in painting inspired from his world travels… derived from some of his favorite locales in Italy, France, and the gardens in North Carolinas.” All the paintings are original oil on canvas with intricate three-dimensional designs that make the art pieces come to life. Pictured with Dr. Wright is Hayley, the founder of Deanie’s Doll Therapy Program. The mission of this program is to provide comfort for patients battling dementia, as research supports doll therapy can improve a patient’s “emotional state, reduce disturbing behaviors, and enhance communication amongst dementia patients”. We encourage all to check out their website to learn more about this wonderful program below! https://lnkd.in/e67fMD-d Thank you to Dr. Wright and all of those that supported this charity art event! We look forward to future opportunities such as this one to support the community and patients we serve. #ScopeAnesthesiaNC

Scope is excited to announce the recipient of the 2024 C. Dana Hershey Outstanding Anesthesiologist Award, selected by the student nurse anesthetists (SRNAs) at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center. This award honors an anesthesiologist for their exceptional professionalism and dedication to the education of nurse anesthetists. Without further ado, we would like to extend a huge congratulations to Dr. Amit Yajnik! The 2024 class of student nurse anesthetists chose Dr. Yajnik as the recipient of the award because “he has taught us didactically multiple times throughout the program including our advanced hemodynamics lecture, intraoperative cardiac surgery lecture, and advanced airway double lumen endotracheal tube workshop. His skills are bar none, but his presence as a teacher and colleague are what truly sets him apart. Knowing that he was going to be the anesthesiologist when you arrive at 4:15am to set up your room for the heart rotation – instantly made your day better. His patience with students as well as his demeanor towards everyone in the operating room – no matter their role – is what makes him a perfect?recipient for this?award.” ? Please join us in congratulating Dr. Yajnik, as he continues to support the program and the future nurse anesthetists. We are grateful for his leadership! #ScopeAnesthesiaNC
