We hosted our first Policy Showcase last week! Students presented their semester-long research and policy recommendations on medical AI, aviation sustainability, and deepfakes. It was exciting to learn more about these complicated S&T issues and foster interdisciplinary discussion on policy solutions to these issues.?Thank you to all who participated! Last Friday, Science & Technology Policy Connections had the privilege to host Tina Dorr and Laura Gravesen! Tina Dorr is a patent attorney and Partner in the Atlanta office of Barnes & Thornburg LLP with technology expertise, and Laura Gravesen is a Legislative Affairs Lead at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta. ? We had an interesting discussion with them around #health & #biotechnology policy, and they provided us with some great insight on their career paths and the implications of #emergingtechnologies in their fields.
