How often does your team have to 86 a menu item? Do you know which item gets sold out the most? What's the process in place to un-86 that same item? Do you know how long it takes your team to do it each time? We've 86'd countless items so far this year, and it's only mid-February. The most common one? Onion rings. We get it. The sweetness of the onion mixed with the zesty flavor of the batter is an item we crave all year long. The ripple effect of an item being sold out and then not taken off of, say, online ordering, can lead to frustrated customers, delivery drivers caught in the middle, overwhelmed employees, and poor ratings.
