ScienceBuzz Foundation

ScienceBuzz Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, founded in 2017, with a mission to discover, develop, and popularize the world's most promising young innovators, researchers, and leaders. The foundation's major initiative is ScienceBuzz.com, a networking platform. ScienceBuzz.com is a global STEM community that connects and empowers young scientists. We feature their original work to professionals and institutions around the world... for free. Students build portfolios to highlight their experiences and interests to ultimately gain recognition globally. Users create free accounts to upload papers (i.e. literature reviews, experimental data, research manuscripts, abstracts, news articles, personal experiences, opinion essays). All papers are published regardless of significance. The Scientific Review Board only moderates content for plagiarism and uncorroborated claims. In user profiles, students have bios, videos, awards, photos, and links to other portfolios. By publishing papers, they can receive professional feedback, interact with peers, ask questions to esteemed scientists and industry specialists, and gain valuable internships (as more than fifty summer programs, university labs, companies, and institutions use the platform to find and evaluate candidates who show passions and have experience in their field). ScienceBuzz.com's vision is to "celebritize" student scientists and redefine collaboration. Supporters, sponsors, and donors include the National Institutes of Health, Center for Education Excellence, Johnson & Johnson, Bristol-Meyers Squibb, the National Association for Gifted Children, Summer Institute for the Gifted, and more than twenty other organizations. Through social media marketing, partnerships, and conferences, we have over 10,000 registered, active users (from 50 states and 22 countries), ~3,000 daily visitors, and nearly 500 scientists.
