Sunscreen use and other protective behaviors should be adopted by everyone, no matter their skin color. In this article, the authors explore the cost and effectiveness of sunscreens formulated for individuals with darker skin or skin of color (SOC), and provide key considerations for healthcare providers when recommending sunscreen to patients with skin of color.
