Our team attended the Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC) Annual Conference and brought all the knowledge from Chicago back to Richmond. The ASTC Annual Conference is one of the premier annual events for science-engagement professionals and leaders in science and technology centers and museums. Six Science Museum team members across different departments attended AND presented at the conference. Highlights include joining information sessions, visiting local science museums and hearing from keynote speaker Sian “Leo” Proctor, Ph.D.

This trip was sauce-sational! While on a factory tour at San-J International, Inc. our staff got a front-row seat to the fermentation food science behind soy sauce. San-J makes one of the US's most popular brands of tamari soy sauce right here in Richmond, VA.?

You don't need to slip on AR goggles to see this amazing partnership at work! Science Museum of Virginia Foundation board member Kelley McCall joined our team to try the Quest headsets we were able to acquire with support from Meta. Together they explored virtual reality gardens created by students from The MiX! ??

The ProtoPath is a pedestrian- and bike-only path connecting our campus directly to the bike lane on Leigh Street, and it just got some TLC thanks to an amazing group of volunteers!
