Jacob brings valuable experience in international trade law and has a proven track record of assisting clients with various import compliance matters and export issues. He provides guidance on import and export issues, including customs, Foreign-Trade Zone compliance, and sanctions. His knowledge spans Harmonized Tariff Schedule classification, substantial transformation, and Section 301/232 duties analysis. Before joining us, he worked at Miller & Company P.C., a boutique FTZ firm. Outside of work, Jacob enjoys reading, playing guitar, working out, and spending time outdoors. The additional 25% duty on products from Mexico and Canada takes effect today. On March 2, 2025, President Trump announced an amendment to the original Executive Orders, Executive Orders 14198 and 14197, which postpones the removal of the duty-free de minimis treatment under 19 U.S.C. 1321.
