Tracey Beal often says that schools are portals to every need of a neighborhood.? ? In fact, that single realization launched School Connect and brought us to where we are today. ? Whether we're talking about foster care, refugees, homelessness, job insecurity, food insecurity, addiction challenges, you name it—all of these community needs have something in common. Each of these needs can be reached through the portal of our local schools.? ? We always emphasize how important it is to build a village of support around schools. The reality is, I believe it’s not just helpful—it can change entire neighborhoods for the better. ? That’s why we suggest that if you ever feel unsure about how to make a direct difference in your community, consider the needs of the school in your own backyard. ?? ?? #ArizonaEducation #Schools #Neighborhood
