School of Lunch (SOL), founded by Hilary Boynton, Chuck Boynton, and Joel Rodgers is the solution to the chronic disease epidemic facing our nation. For the last decade, Hilary has been showing people how to return to the way we ate before modern agriculture and processed foods took over. Her mission is to continue joyfully disrupting the system by focusing on seasonal, local and nutrient-dense foods. SOL works to inspire, empower, and connect people to a healthier way of living — starting with our most important asset, our children. Through Hilary’s leadership and the company's dedicated approach, we lay the foundation for lifelong wellness, helping create a healthier future, one meal at a time. SOL grew out of Hilary’s ceaseless work to heal chronic illness concerns with her own five children. She then extended that into her nearby school in Topanga, CA, realizing that every child deserves the tools to eat well and stay healthy. With a hands-on approach as the lunch lady, she teaches children, their parents and our community (in CA and beyond) to lean into the work of preparing meals as they should be, based on the principles of ancestral cooking. Hilary's vision for School of Lunch extends into consulting services that help individuals, schools, and workplaces build customized nutrition programs, empowering communities to take control of their health. By emphasizing scratch-cooking, balanced nutrition, and reducing reliance on processed foods, SOL has proven that eating well directly correlates with increased learning and overall well-being.
