On the heels of this week’s election news, we also wanted to highlight the ongoing achievements of our first-gen students. On this National First-Generation Student Celebration Day, we reaffirm our commitment to these remarkable young people and their diverse stories. This month, we’ll highlight some of our hard-working students, starting with Cely Pablo, a first-gen college student from San Francisco’s Mission District who overcame challenges in balancing college and work (as an EMT!). Thanks to the support of scholarship partners like O'Melveny & Myers LLP, Cely recently graduated from her dream school, UC San Diego, and is now in grad school! You can read her story below and join us today to support more students like her year-round. https://bit.ly/celyblog #CelebrateFirstGen #firstgen #collegesuccess

Did you know that on top of our yearlong college access program, where students get matched with a college coach, we also offer free virtual drop-in sessions open to all students? In an effort to serve even more college-bound students with busy schedules, we launched our Virtual Drop-In Program last year, where students can receive 1:1 support from trained college coaches on specific topics, such as personal statement essays or college-list building. These sessions happen multiple times throughout the year and are open to all students located in the US. Our next sessions are coming up on October 30 and 31, with more sessions planned for November. Please help us spread the word! https://lnkd.in/exHnxi8k #collegeapplications #firstgeneration
