An inspiring afternoon at the Sun Corridor Inc. Annual Luncheon! Last week's event celebrated visionary leaders driving Southern Arizona's economic growth. Among the incredible speakers was Jordan Schnitzer, President and CEO of Schnitzer Properties, and keynote speaker, former Mexican Ambassador Geronimo Gutierrez Fernandez, who emphasized the importance of U.S.-Mexico collaboration. It was a fantastic gathering featuring U.S. Congressman Juan Ciscomani, Tucson Electric Power CEO Susan Gray, Sun Corridor Inc. President Joe Snell, and Tucson Mayor Regina Romero—all united in their commitment to a brighter future for the community. We're incredibly proud of our President and CEO, who received the prestigious Cornerstone Award for his commitment to developing innovative industrial spaces in Tucson. Schnitzer Properties Staff Spotlight: Meet Brian Spencer—Schnitzer Properties HVAC Technician Lead, baseball dad, and retired volunteer radio DJ. ? Brian Spencer heads the HVAC department for Schnitzer Properties in the Las Vegas region, which keeps him and his team busy in the Nevada heat. He says his favorite thing about working for Schnitzer Properties is the company's family-first philosophy, fostered by President and CEO Jordan Schnitzer. "It's home away from home, and we're like a family around here," Spencer said. "It's not one of those places where you get out of bed going, 'Nah, man, I don't want to go to work today.' I look forward to coming to work, facing challenges, and making our tenants happy. Jordan takes great care of us—he's a family-minded guy, and it's just a great place to work." Speaking of family, Spencer and his wife Lisa have three adult kids—sons Shane and Andrew and daughter Taylor. Shane recently signed a baseball contract with the Billings Mustangs in Montana, an independent league affiliated with Major League Baseball. In addition to his role as an outstanding HVAC Technician Lead for Schnitzer Properties, Spencer is also a music aficionado. He and Lisa recently bought a record store, and before that, he was a volunteer radio DJ for 23 years. He was recently nominated for the Nevada Broadcasters Hall of Fame for his work on a weekend blues music show.

Our President and CEO, Jordan Schnitzer, sat down with CBRE's Spencer Levy for an upcoming episode of his podcast, The Weekly Take. They talked about everything from the company's focus on flex/industrial to Schnitzer's philosophy of philanthropic leadership. Stay tuned!
Las Vegas Feeling less like James Bond in Diamonds are Forever and more like Alan (Zach Galifianakis) in The Hangover, 22 years ago I was a banker in the purchase of four casino hotels in downtown Vegas (a/k/a the "real" Vegas).?Times sure have changed and I stayed this time at the beautiful new Fountainbleau whose pool was straight out of the original that appeared in Goldfinger.?Still more like Alan than 007, though the upside is I also met Mike Tyson! Great visit highlighted by my speech at the Fountainbleau in front of 400 multifamily execs at the MFE Zonda conference and the visit with my friend and client Jordan Schnitzer (pictured here), President and CEO of Schnitzer Properties, for dinner at #Hakkasan and a podcast record at his offices in Vegas. I’ve been very lucky that I have a lot of clients that have become friends over the years, and there are few that I have greater respect for than Jordan who is the embodiment of “doing good while doing good.” On the business front, Jordan built a multi-billion dollar real estate enterprise.?Continuing this vision, Jordan is continuing to build today hundreds of millions of dollars of new flex industrial when most other developers are waiting for lower rates which will give Schnitzer Properties a huge competitive advantage. On the “doing good” philanthropy front, Jordan and his family (HAROLD & ARLENE SCHNITZER CARE FOUNDATION) have donated countless millions of dollars to causes including Schnitzer Cares (formerly CommuniCare): Student Grant Making, which has taught more than 1,800 high school students to become philanthropic entrepreneurs, the three Jordan Schnitzer Museums of Art in the Pac Northwest at Portland State University, University of Oregon and Washington State University, and the Jordan Schnitzer Family Foundation that lends out art from Jordan’s collection that has created 180 exhibitions at more than 120 museums and institutions nationwide.?That’s many lifetimes of good. Great job Ali Wolf and our friends at MFE and Zonda, including Siobhan O’Kane for the opportunity to speak at the multifamily conference.? Vegas:?See you again at the Urban Land Institute in a few weeks!?SGL

Schnitzer Properties is a proud supporter of Pink Phoenix, a Portland, Ore., non-profit organization that empowers breast cancer survivors through the sport of dragon boating. Schnitzer Properties employees AVP of Operations Michele Micciche and Property Manager Rachelle Jones recently participated in the annual Traci Van Dyken Healthcare Provider & Sponsor Paddle event, of which Schnitzer Properties is a platinum sponsor. “It was an honor to be invited to paddle with the Pink Phoenix dragon boat team for their annual sponsorship event,” Micchiche said. “Rachelle Jones and I had a great time! The lady ‘Pinks’ were warm and welcoming and so very appreciative of Schnitzer Properties’ generosity as their platinum parking sponsor. Having lost my dear mother to breast cancer in 2016, the event was especially meaningful and moving.” October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Pink Phoenix invites all breast cancer survivors to contact them about participating in the 2025 season. #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth
