Schneck Medical Center is the only Indiana recipient of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. This award is the highest level of national recognition for performance excellence that a U.S. organization can receive.?For more than 100 years, Schneck has been at the forefront of healthcare in Southern Indiana. Schneck Medical Center was founded in 1911 as a 17-bed not-for-profit hospital. We now serve residents of Jackson, Jennings, Scott and Washington counties with a staff of more than 1,000 employees, 125 volunteers and nearly 300 physicians. Along with emergency and surgical services, Schneck has grown to include a cancer center, a pediatrics practice and primary and urgent care facilities. In 2017, Schneck opened a new 13,000-square-foot rehab facility, where patients and providers develop individualized care plans to?promote overall health and restore mobility.     MARCH IS NATIONAL COLORECTAL CANCER AWARENESS MONTH To promote Colorectal Cancer awareness and prevention, Schneck Medical Center's Endoscopy team will sponsor an event, "Schneck Sparks of Strength". This event will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025 in the Main Lobby of Schneck Medical center at 10 am. We invite you to join us at this event and to help promote Colorectal Cancer awareness, screening and prevention in our community. The event will include a moment of silence to recognize those battling colon cancer and also those lost. We also will pass out blue "Sparks of Strength" lights for participants to share with someone you know who needs a screening colonoscopy. Participants can learn how to schedule a screening colonoscopy or obtain other forms of screening at the event.

  • Congratulations to our most recent cohort of Nurse Residency Graduates at Schneck! The New Nurse Residency Program is for nurses who come to Schneck with Less than one year of experience after receiving their degree in nursing. Our residency mentors follow these nurses for one year providing support, educational opportunities, and knowledge to help them become more experienced nurses. Each graduate must also complete a research project on their unit to help build departmental relationships with their fellow team members at Schneck.
