Exciting news for Sceye as we take a major step forward in our European expansion! The groundbreaking of our new hangar and production facility at Aeropuerto de Teruel marks a significant milestone in advancing High Altitude Platform Systems (HAPS) for stratospheric flight.
This week marks a milestone for Sceye's European expansion with the groundbreaking of a hangar and production facility for High Altitude Platform Systems (HAPS) at Aeropuerto de Teruel in Spain. The new facility will make Teruel Airport the first site in Europe equipped to support HAPS for stratospheric flight at around 20 km (60,000 ft). Valued at €39.7 million, this is the largest investment to date by the Airport Consortium — reflecting its commitment to enhancing infrastructure, introducing new business lines, and driving innovation in the aerospace sector. Thank you to the President of the Government of Aragon, Jorge Azcón; the Mayor of Teruel, Emma Buj; and all members of the Regional Government and City Council for your support and warm welcome.
