South Coast Development Council (SCDC) is pleased to announce that we have been awarded $175k over the next three years to support the hiring of an Economic Development Manager. This support will bring SCDC to a never-before-seen capacity of four full-time employees dedicated to regional economic development. This opportunity was made possible in partnership with a private foundation and the Bandon Dunes Charitable Foundation. The Economic Development Manager will focus on economic growth, specifically business retention and expansion assistance and business attraction and recruitment. Activities will include promoting the region and real estate opportunities to companies outside the region, brokers and site location advisors, and developers and investors; providing site selection assistance; managing the Enterprise Zone incentive for the Lower Umpqua, Bay Area, and Coquille Valley zones; connecting existing business and business prospects to incentives, workforce resources and data, utility and government contacts, and more; and overall helping to resolve business retention, growth, pre-move, and move-in challenges. #GrowSouthCoast #EconomicDevelopment #EconomicGrowth
