Alongside fellow research institutions, South Carolina policy makers and representatives from various state government departments, this AI roundtable focused on discussing outcomes that will shape the future of the state’s AI development, and in turn, the impact on the community. ? For MUSC, we continue to define new and more effective health care delivery models that will expand access, enhance patient care, fuel innovation and build the SC knowledge-based economy. ? MUSC is committed to leveraging the power of AI to help lead new models of health care delivery like our Integrated Innovation Institutes, beginning with the MUSC Neuroscience & Brain Health Institute, as well as growing the?SC knowledge-based economy?with Blue Sky labs and the launch of the Innovation District. ? Last week I had the pleasure of speaking as a panelist for the #SCCompetes Logistics Maritime Cybersecurity Mentorship Forum at the Technical College of the Lowcountry. I'm appreciative of all mentors and volunteers who sincerely helped "pay it forward" in our community to make this day a success. Mentorship matters as students with mentors are statistically more likely to succeed by achieving higher grades and pursuing a higher education. It's a transformative time for high school students as they prepare for college so having guidance and support about career paths in demanding industries such as cybersecurity and maritime logistics is vital to building the future of South Carolina.
