Investing in professional development leads to stronger communities! WorkLink was fortunate to have not only our Assistant Director but also the Youth Provider's Lead Career Coach and Workforce Development Specialist take time out of their busy schedules to prioritize this valuable Grant Writing Training opportunity. Their commitment to strengthening their skills directly enhances our ability to secure funding and better serve job seekers and businesses in our region. Thank you for your dedication to continuous learning and to making a meaningful impact in our community!
On Tuesday, I had the privilege of organizing and participating in a statewide Grant Writing Training for workforce development professionals representing five of South Carolina’s 12 counties. Tressa Dorsey president of TAD Grants, led an engaging and insightful session covering key aspects of successful grant writing, including proposal review, organization, development, budget creation, and scoring. A huge thank you to Tammy Beagen for providing the Midlands meeting space and to Tressa Dorsey, CBSC, CCSP, GCDF, FCD Instructor, CWDP for sharing her expertise with us! Bringing workforce professionals together for this training was a valuable opportunity to strengthen our ability to secure funding that drives meaningful impact. I’m grateful to have played a role in this initiative and to continue enhancing my grant writing skills to support the WorkLink Region’s success.

SAVE THIS NUMBER in hopes you never need it, but have it handy if you do: 1-833-364-2274 We are incredibly grateful to Amanda Myers for presenting at the SC Works Quarterly Partner Meeting about the Mobile Crisis Program. This program, implemented by the SC Department of Mental Health, offers *FREE* community-based crisis response 24/7/365 across all 46 counties of South Carolina. If you or anyone you know is experiencing mental health concerns, remember that ANYONE CAN MAKE THE CALL – whether it’s a self-referral, law enforcement, family, friends, or community providers. Just dial 1-833-364-2274. The call is received by the State Mobile Crisis Call Center for triage. They can provide resources, information on accessing mental health services, or dispatch a Mobile Crisis Team if there’s a psychiatric emergency. These teams respond within 60 minutes to the location of the crisis. The goal of the Mobile Crisis Program is to prevent unnecessary psychiatric hospitalizations, incarcerations, or emergency department admissions through safety planning and other alternatives. Thank you again, Amanda, for sharing this crucial information and helping us spread the word about this life-saving service! #MentalHealthMatters #MobileCrisis #CommunitySupport
