Dr. Gerald A. Wilson, MD, shared insights on early detection, risk reduction and available resources, while Shawn Smith, Pee Dee region Family Nutrition & Health agent, highlighted the power of nutrition in cancer prevention. Participants also connected with valuable community resources through vendors including The SC Department of Public Health, Clemson Cooperative Extension EFNEP, AARP, Caresouth, SC Cancer Alliance and From Menopause to Cancer. ???

This event provided cancer-focused nutrition education to encourage healthier eating habits and highlight preventive options for overall well-being. Guest speaker Chinel Boateng, senior community development manager for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life Southeast Division, shared insights on breast, cervical and colorectal cancer—covering who's at risk and how the American Cancer Society can help.
