Whether you’re a seasoned professional or just getting started in your career, SCPRSA has something for you!
关于我们
Welcome to the South Carolina Chapter of Public Relations Society of America (SCPRSA). Whether you are a newcomer to the area, an emerging professional or a seasoned PR pro, we invite you to join nearly 200 of your colleagues in and around South Carolina to share professional information, career development and fellowship in a friendly and supportive environment. Our members come from the public, corporate, non-profit and agency sectors to create an organization serving as their professional home and as the area's most prestigious public relations network. To better serve our members, we host monthly professional development luncheons in Charleston, Columbia and Greenville. All SCPRSA luncheons feature dynamic speakers, opportunities to learn about the profession, increased knowledge about topics relevant to the practitioner and valuable networking time with colleagues. Once a year, the entire chapter gathers for our professional development conferences that brings in regional, national and international speakers for intensive workshops on the hot issues facing public relations practitioners. In addition to our professional development conferences, SCPRSA recognizes its members for their outstanding achievements and contributions through our annual Mercury Awards. The Mercury Awards includes a judged competition and awards banquet that celebrates outstanding achievement in the creation and execution of public relations campaigns and tactics. The chapter also supports an ongoing accreditation process for members that includes recruiting candidates and assisting with preparation for oral and written exams, and we work with the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) at the University of South Carolina, the College of Charleston and Clemson University to sponsor mentoring programs for public relations students. SCPRSA is a member of the Southeast District of PRSA.
