This year’s state winners are co-awardees Mamie Hoffer (CEO) and Jason Futrell (President) of Hoffer Flow Controls, Inc.??Out of its rural Elizabeth City NC facility, Hoffer Flow Controls manufactures high precision turbine flowmeters for the cryogenic industry as well as for the measurement of clean liquids and gases throughout other industries including aerospace/defense, oil and gas, and pharmaceuticals. “We are truly humbled to be named North Carolina’s Small Business Persons of the Year for 2025,” remarked company president Jason Futrell. “This recognition means so much to us, and we are deeply grateful to the Small Business Administration for its unwavering support of small businesses like ours. “This achievement would not be possible without the collective effort and dedication of every employee at Hoffer Flow Controls.
