The South Bay Cities Council of Governments (SBCCOG) is a joint powers authority government agency of 16 cities and the County of Los Angeles that share the goal of maximizing the quality of life and productivity of the South Bay subregion of Los Angeles. Southern California Regional Energy Network (SoCalREN) ? SoCalGas ? Water Replenishment District of Southern California (WRD) ? West Basin Municipal Water District ? City of Torrance ? Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts (LACSD) ? Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) ? Los Angeles Department of Water & Power (LADWP) SBESC assists public agencies including cities, schools, and special districts, as well as businesses and residents of the South Bay to best utilize the many resources available to them through a variety of statewide and local energy efficiency and water conservation programs.

At our monthly board meeting Gus Meza, senior water policy and resource analyst, for our partner West Basin Municipal Water District, accepted a certificate of appreciation on behalf of HAROLD WILLIAMS for his outstanding public service and dedication to the community as a City of Carson, California, Council member and as a West Basin board member from November, 2014 to December, 2024. This morning state and local leaders came together for the 10th annual South Bay Legislative Meet & Greet presented by the SBCCOG, South Bay Association of Chambers of Commerce and?League of California Cities?at the?City of Torrance?Nakano Theater. Janice Hahn,?Ben Allen, Al Muratsuchi?and?Tina McKinnor?discussed state and regional goals following the recent wildfires ?? and discussed new legislation and plans for issues such as e-bike ?? safety, public safety ?? and homelessness??.
