Last Friday, The Sports Business Association at The University of Utah concluded its first Case Study Competition, hosted and partnered with University of Utah Athletics! The case study was centered around revenue generating strategies catered towards the Utah Crimson Collective at the University of Utah. A huge thank you to JT Tumanuvao, Matt Smith, & Gavin Van Wagoner for judging the USBA Case Study Competition & providing valuable feedback to the students who participated! Executive Director, Caleb Cox. on Thursday, January 23rd 2025, at 5:00pm MST (TOMORROW) via Google Meet. Caleb Cox is a sports business professional who currently works as the Executive Director at the Idaho Golf Association Inc. Graduating from Oklahoma Christian University Cox began his professional sports career in 2012 as an Assistant Golf Professional. Cox then joined the Idaho Golf Association Inc. in 2017, beginning as the Director of Course Rating and Handicapping. Yesterday, The Sports Business Association at The University of Utah collaborated with the Utah Jazz to host a guest speaker series at the Delta Center! The USBA and 20 of its members had the pleasure of hearing from Peyton Madsen, the Director of Corporate Partnerships at the Utah Jazz. Peyton shared with us her experience working in professional sports, while also providing valuable advice to those looking to work in corporate sales.
