For?JR Howard, whose company supports our Orion Solar Belt, solar grazing is also an opportunity for his family. A lifelong sheepherder, JR expects to almost double the people he employs by the end of the year. ? Reflecting on 2024 – we’re proud of many things we have achieved, but the SB Energy and industry-wide push on expanding US-made clean energy and its supply chain rises to the top.?? ?? This year, for the first time, it was possible to get the majority of equipment for our projects to be "made in America" – from the steel and modules down to the cabling.?We celebrated this milestone at our 900 MW Orion Solar Belt with our partners from Blattner, Nextracker Inc., First Solar, Google?and many others. To boot, we now have Texas sheep roaming these projects to manage vegetation.? ? And, last week, Nextracker Inc. announced that our 570 MW solar and 954 MWh storage project under construction in California will be the first to include their 100% domestically-made solar trackers.? ? We are so thankful for our team that helped deliver all this and excited for where our industry is headed! #solarenergy #MadeInAmerica

Today, Nextracker announced that it has shipped and delivered the industry’s first U.S. manufactured solar trackers in the US to our Pelican's Jaw project. This project is currently under construction by?SOLV Energy. ? Our industry has made great strides in creating a robust U.S. supply chain to support greater supply security and create high paying, domestic manufacturing jobs. We were honored to host U.S. Secretary of Energy?Jennifer Granholm?at our Orion Solar Belt today!?? ? Along with Sec. Granholm, local officials, Benjamin Treynor Sloss of Google, Blattner and our American-made suppliers including Gerdau, First Solar and Nextracker Inc. and other project partners, we officially marked commercial operation of our Orion Solar Belt, totaling approximately 900 MWdc of solar energy capacity. ? ? Our Orion Solar Belt helps power Google’s data centers in Ellis County, Texas and represents Google’s largest solar energy investment in the world.
