Säzän Group is proud to participate as a sponsor and as mentors of the ACE Mentor Program. Our Portland team showed up to support the ACE Mentor Program of Oregon at their annual luncheon at the Portland Art Museum. The after-school program teams design and construction professionals with high school students to give real-world perspective through hands-on project exercises, externships, and internships.     In addition to hearing success stories from students, this year’s lunch included guest speakers from the Oregon Zoo, James Beard Public Market, Portland State University, and Kaiser Permanente. This panel shared insights about current development projects and shined a light on the resiliency of the City of Portland, leaving the crowd with a message of hope for continued growth.      The annual fundraising event showcases student achievements and gives a call to action for guests to support scholarships and additional learning opportunities for students. 11 years of growth in Portland! After months of demanding deadlines, the Portland staff took an afternoon to recognize their accomplishments and hard work. And they kept it weird. Pies were thrown at the Portland Office lead, Geoff Jenks, PE , marionberry cake was consumed, and a lot of karaoke was sung in a high-spirited celebration of teamwork and camaraderie. #wearesäzän   #oregonteam

Our recent collaboration with Rowell Brokaw Architects has earned an Earth Advantage Multifamily Gold Level Certification! Flock13 is a student housing development near the University of Oregon’s campus. The Earth Advantage Program offers are improved indoor air quality and lower water usage among other benefits.
