KAHCF’s Professional Achievement Awards are designed to honor those individuals who have excelled in providing outstanding care in a cooperative spirit of teamwork. Congratulations to Millie Johnson, Healthcare Center Environmental Service Manager! On Thursday, November 21, the Ky. Association of Health Care Facilities/Ky. Center for Assisted Living recognized top long-term care leaders and heroes in Kentucky at their quality awards banquet. We were honored to be a part of this elite group of leaders in the industry. Millie is an excellent example of a team member who lives the mission day in and day out. Recognition for what comes naturally to her is not what she looks for, but her team, and we all are so proud of her accomplishment!

??We LOVED making our fall mason jars last week! We used different patterned papers and pressed flowers to create unique jars that we then put tea lights in to complete the look. Residents talked about how they were going to use them for Christmas presents, decor for rooms, and conversation starters with neighbors!

Congratulations, Jameshea Irvine, Payroll Specialist and Chris Kitchens, Healthcare Center Maintenance Director for earning the Ira O. Wallace Scholarship! On Thursday, November 21, the Kentucky Association of Health Care Facilities/Kentucky Center for Assisted Living/Kentucky Senior Living Association (KAHCF/KCAL/KSLA) recognized top long-term care leaders and heroes in Kentucky. Sayre Christian Village was honored to be a part of this elite group of leaders in the industry.

?? We love to visit the Primate Rescue Center, Inc. It was good to see our friends Eileen, Ike, Donald, Martine, Delia, Jennie, and Annabelle!

We enjoyed our outing to Panera Bread on a fall day that was just perfect for soups and salads! Then it was off to the Aviation Museum, the only one in the state of Kentucky, located on the grounds of the Bluegrass Airport. Our tour guide, Orrin, was a delightful host as he shared many stories of the various exhibits housed at the museum.

Rise & Shine, students! It’s rainy outside, but the future looks ??. CEO Karen Venis gave a ‘state of the industry’ presentation for Clinical Leadership & Management University of Kentucky College of Health Sciences students today. ?? Partnerships with bright leaders of tomorrow are just one of the ways Sayre Christian Village is preparing to care for the over 10,000 a day that are turning 65.
