The 3rd?quarter was a thrill seeker’s market as changing sentiment towards interest rates, the economy, and A.I. caused a roller coaster ride in the markets.?Investors with strong stomachs were rewarded in the end as the S&P 500 gained nearly 6% and the Bloomberg Aggregate was up over 5%.?The long-awaited equity market broadening began early in the quarter with investors rotating away from mega cap tech into cyclicals and small caps.?Indecision on the magnitude of Fed cuts culminated in a 50bp cut in September.?David Siegel, CFA?and Anthony Brooks provide details of the market actions during the quarter and what factors may have an impact as we head towards the end of the year.?

On the back of an accommodative 50bp cut from the Fed, equities had another strong month of performance in September.?Similar momentum and concentration factors were emphasized within the large-cap space, with the growth universe once again taking the lead.
