Oral reconstruction specialist and Culinary Chef Dr. Reva Barewal, knows the challenges of a soft diet. At a young age, Reva had facial reconstruction surgery due to the unique growth of her jaw. This experience led to Reva’s first hand experience of the challenges of being on a soft food diet. Her personal journey inspired her to become both a culinary chef and an oral reconstruction specialist. Over the years, she became sympathetic to her patient’s frustration with the monotony of sweet shake supplements they had to drink to maintain their weight, Dr. Barewal partnered with food scientists, doctors, speech-language pathologists and dietitians to find a solution. Such a well deserved award for an amazing clinician and devoted clinical researcher ??????. Margaret Lico learned about Savorease and brought together her team and myFace to develop a study examining the impact of adding the Crispy Melt product into post operative diet plans for surgical patients including cleft palate patients. The team at NYU Langone Health with her leadership are doing such great work. Kudos Meg for being on the forefront of discovery of food tech applications for pediatric feeding.????

Even the youngest of children have been able to successfully complete the study after having watched the Nose Movie at home. With all her accomplishments, it's still so hard for our team to believe Meg has only been in practice for such a short period of time.
