Are you a Minnesota health professional? We need your help! The Suicide Prevention Workforce Survey was informed by listening sessions to identify potential gaps in care for people experiencing suicidal ideation, and results will be used to assess prevention and intervention knowledge and experience throughout the state. Results will help the Minnesota Department of Health and Minnesota Suicide Prevention Taskforce guide suicide prevention programming. Health professionals are encouraged to take the anonymous 15-minute survey by the end of February. Find the survey linked at bio.site/savevoicesofedu!

?? Knock, knock. ?? Now that I have your attention, I have critical news about an initiative SAVE - Suicide Awareness Voices of Education is launching this week alongside several incredible partners - with more joining every day. For far too long, Big Tech has infiltrated the homes, hearts, and minds of youth—robbing them of their mental health, authentic connection, innocence, safety, and, tragically, their lives. ?? We’ve been told by the “experts” that no scientific evidence proves social media is hobbling our youth. ?? We’ve watched Big Tech find willing accomplices—those who take their money in a cynical trade-off, padding their bottom line while ignoring the risks to young people. The fight to protect youth from the harms of social media has become one of the most profound David and Goliath battles of our time. ?? But parents who have buried their children after social media-fueled tragedy are rising up. ?? They are fighting in the halls of power. ?? They refuse to stop—because they can’t stop—until no more lives are lost. We know the truth: ?? Social media is dangerous. ?? Social media is deadly to our children. Let’s be clear: Social media can, and does, kill. It’s time we stop sugarcoating the truth. It’s time we call harm what it is. It’s time we tell every parent, every family, and every policymaker: No child is immune from the dangers of social media. ?? From the United States to the United Kingdom to Australia, and every country and continent, social media can connect us in ways we never imagined—but it is also killing and injuring our youth every single day. And the numbers aren’t slowing down. ?? Every click has a cost. ?? It’s time to label the risk. Let’s make it clear. Let’s make it impossible to ignore. ?? Join us. Let’s protect our youth. Reach out to me at [email protected] to get involved with a campaign that won't just expose the truth about the harms of social media - but gives parents and youth a voice to warn others before it's too late. Together, we can expose the truth—and save lives. #SocialMediaHarms #YouthSafety #MentalHealthMatters #SAVE Julie Inman - Grant Jill Wijangco Online Safety Act Network Brandy Vega Angeline Corvaglia Bianca Gay Laura Marquez-Garrett Gaia Bernstein Clare Daly CIPP/E Paul Raffile Emma Lembke Denise G. Dear Friends of Suicide Awareness Voices of Education Today, we honor the memory of Aria Joy. Brittani Senser’s 13-year-old daughter, Aria—lovingly called “Buggy” by her mom—died by suicide. Through her incredible mother, we at SAVE have come to know, love and cherish Aria, and her light continues to inspire us every day. Brittani, who serves as our Director of Education and Training, is not just a vital part of our team—she is a beacon of hope and resilience. She has poured her heart into our mission, dedicating herself to suicide prevention and ensuring that no other family experiences the pain she has endured. With strength and unwavering passion, she lifts the memory of her daughter through every step of her work, touching countless lives along the way. Today, we are inspired by Brittani’s courage. We are thinking of her, holding her in our hearts, and sending her our prayers, thoughts, and love. We ask that you do the same. And please, take a moment to watch this powerful video about Aria Joy—the lives she’s touched, and the light she continues to shine on us all. Let’s remember Aria Joy and commit to being there for one another. Erich Mische CEO, SAVE https://lnkd.in/g8h5bbYR

Our CEO Erich Mische shares his thoughts about the importance of Save&Raid to create community! https://lnkd.in/g8U2xfZz
Yesterday, I had the opportunity to chat with the leadership team of the Save&Raid www.saveandraid.org livestream event that supports SAVE - Suicide Awareness Voices of Education and is celebrating it's 5 year anniversary in 2025. I would never claim to be an expert in the online streaming world - although I gladly dabble in it because it's a community that is powerful in so many ways. When we think of "community" it represents all sorts of different visions of what that means to each of us. As I have gotten to know many of those who not only lead this event, but play in it, like Stijn Wieger van der Heide Christina Furio and so many others, I am grateful that their idea of community is inclusive, empathetic, kind, generous and determined to support one another. We have never been more connected, yet feel so disconnected in the world. I wish I had a solution for it. But, I suspect part of that solution rests in the commitment we are willing to make individually to put aside the obstacles we create for ourselves that keep us apart from the world. I know that it's easier said than done. For a forced extrovert like myself, I am all too familiar with the barriers to entry to engaging in society in a comfortable and not-anxious kind of way. Showing up is hard at times. I do know that showing up in the Save&Raid Community is made easier because of the people who lead it and participate it who have opened up their hearts, and their minds, to what it means to be a community. (P.S. - Thanks to Stijn Wieger van der Heide for the wonderful picture he created of me wearing my Blizzard Entertainment Diablo inspired horns! Johanna Faries we would LOVE to have you be a part of this year's event!)
