Save the Animals Foundation

#TeamEJM spent an afternoon at Save the Animals Foundation, a local nonprofit animal shelter that provides rescue and rehab to alleviate the suffering of dogs and cats, while helping each animal find a loving home. The EJM Gives program allows employees the opportunity to make a difference toward our environment, our community and our future! Thank you to those who volunteered!

Over this past weekend, the Giveback Crew volunteered with one of our 2024 Giveback Partners, Save the Animals Foundation (STAF). ???? Our team helped clean the shelter, organized supplies, and performed light building maintenance; this means the STAF caretakers have more time to spend with the animals during their daily visits. Once our work was done, GECU team members were rewarded with quality time and cuddles from several grateful furry friends. #GECUCares

It’s official – The STAF Summer Open House of 2024 was a huge success!?We had an amazing turnout of volunteers and their families, known supporters of STAF, and new visitors, all of whom got the chance to tour the dog and cat rooms, learn more about the amazing work we do, and perhaps open their pocketbooks to purchase some merchandise, a treat for their own pets, or a treat or two for themselves. It takes a lot of work to make the Open House happen, and we are appreciative of everyone who chipped in to help in any way.?Not only did we raise a bit of money for STAF, but we got to show off and hopefully drum up some interest in adoptions and/or volunteering.?We all know how special of a place STAF is, and it is awesome to get to share our shelter with the public!

We are excited to announce that our Summer Open House is scheduled for Sunday, June 23rd from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm! Please mark your calendars and start spreading the word to friends and family members. Our Open House gives our volunteers the opportunity to show off the wonderful work we do every day, 365 days of the year, and we are so very proud of our accomplishments.
