Police officers deserve the best training possible. That's our mission.

关于我们

Law enforcement officers deserve the best possible training. That's our mission. The Savage Training Group is a professional law enforcement training organization based in San Jose, California. The Savage Training Group was launched in 2019 with two clear goals in mind. First, we want to provide training that will save lives, both cops and citizens alike. Whether you are a cop or not, something we can all agree on is that officers need the best training we can offer them. It’s simply the best way to prevent the countless tragedies that so often fill the nightly news or viral videos. Our second goal is to increase the professional capabilities of law enforcement officers even if it doesn’t amount to something as dramatic as life and death. That means if we find an opportunity to use training courses to give today’s officers and supervisors the tools they need to thrive, then we’ll do it. The way we will accomplish these goals is simple but not easy. We’ll provide advanced law enforcement training in a modern way. We’ll take advantage of the latest up-to-date information and techniques and we’ll use the skills of the best instructors available. There won’t be any shortcuts or settling for mediocrity. We’ll just aim to bring you the best law enforcement training, period.

  • At the Savage Training Group, we believe that FTOs deserve better than “death by power point” training courses. Join us March 31st – April 1st for our 40-hour certification course in Salinas, California or June 2nd-4th for our 24-hour refresher course in Santa Cruz, California. • ????????????????: The neighbors are calling 911 because the mentally ill man who lives next door is swinging some large branches around and yelling. One caller says, “I am concerned because there are little kids who live nearby, and old people go for walks in the neighborhood, so somebody could get hurt.” All across the nation, this seemingly low-level call will be dispatched as a welfare check and 1-2 officers will respond. They’ll typically park a few houses away and then walk up to the subject. ???????? ???? ?????? ?????????????? ?????????????????? ????????? ???? ???? ?????? ?????????????? ?? ???????????????? ??????????????, ??????????????’?? ???? ?????????????????? ?????????? ???? ?????????????? ????? ???? ???? ???????? ???? ?????????????? ???????? ????????????? Commander at Evanston Police Department

I took this class from Savage Training Group yesterday, taught by John Morris INCI. This was my second course in the past few months taught by Savage, and I was extremely impressed with the content and instruction. The material presented is instantly transferable to individual agencies and can have a direct impact on serious liabilities for officers and supervisors. Thanks Scott for reaching out about this class after taking the time to discuss this topic a few months back. #police #training

I am pretty excited my department has decided to host the Response to Non-Criminal Barricade class and the Critical Incident Response class taught by Savage Training Group. John Morris INCI is a phenomenal instructor. I have already taken the Critical Incident Response class and I will say no matter what your experience level or training you will take something away from these courses. If you are in the DFW area I recommend you sign up for one or both of these classes.

  • Do dispatchers deserve the same high-quality training that police officer get? At the Savage Training Group, we believe so and that’s why we're working on a Sunday. Today, Sunday March 2nd, Savage Training Group Instructors Kristy A. Dorton and David Bautista are teaching our Critical Incident Response & Legal Update for Dispatchers at the CALNENA 2025 conference. Let’s face it, there are tons of new laws affecting how officers operate in the field, especially in California. The only problem is... dispatchers were never told about them! We’re on a mission to change that! Today we discussed: ?the new use of force laws ?why officers are asking for things on the radio that they never asked for before ?why field supervisors are calling for a disengagement or even a non-response ?high-profile incidents and how they have affected the way officers respond ?how dispatchers can become informed and be an asset to the officers in the field Upcoming Presentations: Apr 29 ? Westminster, CA May 2 ? Kingsburg, CA Click the link in the comments to learn more.

  • Why are some departments still training like its the 90’s? Things have evolved! Come learn modern interviewing methods that work on suspect, victim, witness, or informant. Everything we teach is based on evidence and science not stuff that is only used because “that’s the way we’ve always done it!” Attend our 3-day Intro to Science-Based Interviewing course and learn from two experienced cops who are skilled presenters (none of that death by Power Point here!) Upcoming Presentations: Mar 3 - 5 ? Redwood City, CA May 5 - 7 ? Santa Cruz, CA Jun 16 - 18 ? Hollywood, FL Jun 24 - 26 ? Redwood City, CA October 27 - 29, 2025 ? • After any significant incident, make sure to conduct a tactical debriefing so everyone involved can learn from the incident. In this video, Senior Instructor Daniel Flippo describes the “Start, Stop, Continue” model of debriefing. In your debrief, pose these questions and then ask for participation from your team: ?? What do we want to start doing differently from now on? ?? What do we want to stop doing? ?? What worked well that we want to continue? Or, if you just want to do what everyone else is doing, just say, “I know everybody wants to get out of here so I will make this quick. Everybody did a great job. Does anybody have anything? No? OK, thanks everybody.” Want to learn more?
