?Why should I choose Sonic Drilling Technology?? Ever heard the phrase “Never take a knife to a gunfight”? That’s PRECISELY what happened here. In the photo, you can see tooling protruding out of the ground to the right of where we are drilling. There’s about 60’ of it stuck below the surface. The drilling contractor before us opted for air rotary as their method of drilling for monitoring well installation at this site. Unfortunately, the formation proved too challenging, and they had to abandon their tooling in the ground. This method also did not allow a continuous representative sample. Savage was able to mobilize in and utilize Sonic Drilling Technology to continuously sample and case the boring to depth, and successfully install a monitoring well to the customer’s specifications. The customer received a better sample, a safer drilling method, and ultimately, a project completed to satisfaction. Having similar issues? Don’t hesitate to contact us!
