We’ve been working hard on designing a wayyyyy more personalised onboarding flow at Satlantis. Something that is both Nostr and normie-friendly. Also something that can help with suggesting relevant content, accounts, events and merchants. This is in line with our approach of building *with* Nostr, not *on* Nostr. This is still a prototype, so the content is off, and some of the steps need polish. We're rolling out the first public beta in April, so you'll see alot more activity and updates on this account from now on. Looking forward to sharing lots more with you all.

We built the internet as a way to communicate, and inside of this 'cyber-space', we proceeded to create digital communities and ‘social networks.’ The first iteration of these networks have devolved into algorithmic dopamine-dispensers, but I believe we are the precipice of a new era of social networking - something that started 20yrs ago now. We have some new building blocks and a chance to build them more intentionally now that we understand more about human nature and its relationship to the web. It’s a second chance to build a social layer for the web. The Social 2.0 era will be marked by the rise of many different niche and micro social networks, each with a core focus or specialty domain. It will also likely be developed atop a global, open, identity protocol - the leading candidate which I believe is NOSTR - where users own their content, data, followers and identity. Android users can now access Satlantis on their mobile devices! 🎉 If you already have a Nostr account, the only way to log into Satlantis has been to use a Nostr browser extension on your desktop. Creating a new Satlantis account on your phone with a username and password only results in creating a new Nostr account, which isn't connected to your original nsec. But we now have a solution for that! 👀 Go to https://spring.site, and install the Spring Nostr Browser app (again, only for Android devices). Open it up, and login with your normal Nostr nsec. The Spring app will sign you into any Nostr app that's listed, allowing you to use any of them without having to copy-and-paste your nsec into each one separately (which isn't safe). Once you're logged in, open the Satlantis app from within Spring, tap the 3 lines in the upper right corner, select Log In, and then "Login with Browser Extension". The Spring app will ask for your permission to login and sign Nostr events for you, and once you grant those permissions, you're all set! Check out the video tutorial below to see how it's done.
