Sophomore and current SASE WPI Secretary Abbas Jivan worked at federal consulting agency Reveal Global Consulting. Abbas was a Data Science Intern, developing an optical character recognition model able to transcribe documents and forms. His time was spent researching and testing different approaches to optimize model size and speed while retaining accuracy. Senior and former SASE WPI Public Relations Chair Ruba Khan did a Data Science co-op at Amazon Robotics, based in North Reading, Massachusetts.
