We made it back to Boston! It was our chapter’s first time attending the SASE - Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers National Conference in years, and it was truly a remarkable experience. It took months of preparation, but we brought 6 attendees (Issac Deng, Madeline Mariano, Ibad Salman, Brielle Rubin, Dorothy Suzuki-Burke, and Grace Wang) this year and hopefully, more next year to this environment made to learn, connect, and grow with others. We thank everyone who made this opportunity possible for us. Throughout each day, we were able to network with employees, other chapters, recruiters, and more, building long-lasting connections. Additionally, we met RIT alumni such as Timmy Wang, making the conference more memorable. Each day we had a ton to look forward to, whether it be the Hospitability Suites, Karaoke Sessions, K-Pop Dancing Sessions, Workshops, Resume Reviews, Panels with various companies, and much more. We were able to truly see how all these brilliant and professional Asian Americans navigated to where they are now in the world. Additionally, the STEM Career Fair was a huge bonus at the conference. It provided our attendees an opportunity to talk to various companies, learning about what they each had to offer. We walked away with many interviews; in addition, 50% of our attendees received offers on the spot. Overall, the SASE National Conference was an unforgettable experience for our chapter, and we hope to be able to attend again next year. We were able to build future collaborations with many other SASE chapters and hope to see the others back again next year. #SASE #SASENationalConference #SASEConnect2024 #DiversityInSTEM #RIT #Tigers #AsianEngineers #AsianScientists #ProfessionalDevelopment #Networking #Empowerment #STEMLeadership #AAPI
