Recently, I got a chance to speak on Responsible AI and how cybersecurity is changing in the age of LLMs. Thanks to the Infosys Consulting team for hosting such an insightful panel and having me! Some interesting points which we discussed: ???????????? ???????????????????? ???? ?????? ??????????????????: ??. ????????-????????????????????: Using GenAI models for synthetic data generation, to condition the LLM to handle out-of-scope questions elegantly. ????. ?????????? ?????? ???????????? ????????????????????: Classification models to ensure that only safe questions reach the model and only appropriate model outputs reach the user. Some interesting guardrail models include Nemo Guardrails by Nvidia and LlamaGuard by Meta. ?????? ?????????????? ???????????????? ???????? ?????? ???????????? ?????????????????????? ?????????? ??????????????????????:? ??. ?????? ????????????????-???????????? ????????????????????: Its always essential to ensure that any customer-facing GenAI models go through robust red teaming exercises, and Guardrail models for your use cases are implemented in conjunction with the base LLMs. ???????? ???????? ?????????????? ???? ?????????????????????? ?????? ???????????? ???????????????? ???? ?????????????? ??????????-???????????????? ?????????????????? ????????????, ???? ?????? ???????????? ?????????????????? ???????????? ?????????? ?????? ???? ?????? ???????? ???? ???????????????????????? I????????-???????????????? ????????????, ???????????????? ??????, ???????????????????????? ?????????? ?????? ?????????????? ?????????? ?????? ?????????????? ???? ???????????? ???????????????? ??????????????????. ????. ????-???????? ????????????????????: Wherever the economics make sense, it might be prudent to consider On-prem deployment of GenAI models, as these can be highly secure environments with more control over model access and data handling. Infosys has done some interesting work in this direction (https://shorturl.at/foHHF) ??????. ?????????? ???? ???????? ????????????: A growing trend in the GenAI space is that smaller models (<10B parameters in size) are becoming more efficient and comparable in performance to larger models (>70B parameters in size) on specific tasks. These small models do not require expensive GPUs for inference, and can be run on smartphones and Laptops (Eg https://lnkd.in/gJKZqcqi). Thus, an interesting area to explore would be deploying SLMs on the edge, which run entirely on the user's device. This can be a game changer for driving LLM adoption in regions like the EU, where GDPR compliance can be challenging.
