Congratulations to our own Angi Burmeister, who is the Sarpy County Chamber of Commerce’s 2024 Elected Official of the Year! Burmeister received the honor during an awards celebration Wednesday evening. Burmeister is the Chair of the Sarpy County Board of Commissioners and has represented District 3 on the Board since 2019. She was the Board’s Vice Chair in 2022 before serving as Board Chair in 2023 and 2024. Burmeister is a visionary and advocate for several key county initiatives, including building and operating the state-of-the-art correctional center and investing in mental health programming – all while prioritizing public safety and maintaining the county’s mil levy. "I am honored to receive this recognition from the Sarpy Chamber and value their hard work. I am grateful to have the opportunity to serve on a board of members that work hard to make sound decisions that affect the fastest-growing county in the state, honored to work with so many dedicated individuals and blessed to be a part of a community that cares for one another, “ Burmeister said. “It’s an honor and privilege to serve our community and to collaborate on meaningful projects that improve the quality of life of our residents.” Read more about Angi here: https://lnkd.in/gf3Es7zy
