Today, we celebrate 2 years of innovation and growth at Saronic! Two years ago, we started with a small team of passionate founders and a big vision. We forged our ideas into initial design concepts and began developing the software, hardware, and AI foundation for our Autonomous Surface Vessels. We focused on creating a manufacturing capability that allows us to produce our systems at scale, leveraging best practices from industrial powerhouses. Throughout those early days and into the subsequent months and years, we’ve never lost sight of why we are building this technology and how critical the missions are that we support. Today, we reflect on a few big milestones Saronic has achieved over the past two years: ? - Developed three cutting-edge models of Autonomous Surface Vessels that are delivering on the needs of the mission in entirely new ways. - Raised $250M in funding, valuing the company at $1B and making it one of the newest defense tech unicorns. - Grew to 185 employees, more than doubling the team size from 2023. - Expanded into over 100K square feet of operational, manufacturing, and testing space in Austin and Galveston, TX. None of this would have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our growing team, and the shared belief in pushing boundaries to create a safer tomorrow. As we look ahead, we’re more energized than ever to continue shaping the future of maritime autonomy. Thank you to everyone who's been part of this incredible journey! Here's to many more milestones.

Great having our CEO Dino Mavrookas talk with 8VC's Joe Lonsdale on the American Optimist podcast about how Saronic is pioneering the development of autonomous surface vehicles (ASVs) to bolster U.S. naval capabilities and tackle a growing gap in U.S. shipbuilding capacity. Check out the full episode here: https://lnkd.in/g8DuGUVU
In World War II, the U.S. built 18,000 ships in a single year. Our enemies couldn't keep pace. Last year, our Navy built eight, and retired 12. Meanwhile, China now has almost 250 times our shipbuilding capacity. How do we maintain naval deterrence? Smaller, weaponized autonomous vessels. Check out this week's American Optimist episode with former Navy SEAL Dino Mavrookas, CEO of Saronic Technologies.
