The third set of employee-owners has officially graduated from the ABC Maine Young Professionals program! Foremen Alexander Costedio and Kyle Salley were honored during yesterday’s ceremony for their commitment to growing as leaders. As part of the program, each of them conducted a return on investment study, with Alex focusing on Sargent’s strategic plan for continued growth and Kyle examining ways to alleviate the financial burden of childcare for employees. We’re proud of Layout Foreman Meredith Brewer for taking part in the WTS-Maine Chapter “Career Insights from All Stages” panel. Joined by fellow panelists @Patricia Quinn (Northern New England Passenger Rail Authority) and Julie M. Crews are making strides on the Lewiston Auburn Clean Water Authority CSO storage facility design-build project in Lewiston, Maine. Earlier this year, our team placed the concrete footings for the support building, and the precast wall panels were installed at the end of February. Around the same time, the CSO tank drain line and process water line will be complete, paving the way for Dutchland’s mid-March arrival to begin work on the tank foundation. This project is shaping up to be a Win in the Field for all involved. We look forward to continuing our partnership with design engineer Woodard & Curran as we move closer to delivering reliable, future-focused infrastructure for the Lewiston-Auburn area. #earthwork #construction #infrastructure #watermanagement #sargent

Each year, we bring our field leadership together for two weeks to exchange experiences, hear company updates, and share stories. Thank you to all the Superintendents and Foremen who attended and those who kept things running in the field. This year, we introduced an estimating exercise from our newly established Sargent Leadership Academy, giving everyone a chance to sharpen their estimating skills.
