Thursday night, I had the honor of sitting on a panel about social entrepreneurship, diving deep into the ways we can create lasting social impact. The traditional charity model, relying only on donations and grants, can limit what’s possible in today’s landscape. Social entrepreneurship goes beyond addressing immediate need it’s about designing systems that empower communities and build economic resilience. SARC at Clark University's annual '5 Under 25' offers current Clark University students a chance to develop their networking and professional skills in a more casual environment, accompanied by refreshments. This year, we are excited to welcome back the following alumni working in biochemistry, business, and computer science: Taylor Laflamme Caleb Gibson, MBA Emma Tziachris Naveed Bin Sattar Michael Schiappa Swipe through to see each of their bios and learn more about their professions!

Come join SARC, First-Generation Student Association and a diverse group of first-gen Clark alumni this Wednesday! They will be discussing their college experience, careers, and advice on their successes. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to connect and enjoy food from Gold Coast Restaurant.

These are some of the images from the Black History Month Alumni Event from last Friday. We are so grateful for all who joined us (current students, staff, and alumni) and to the people that made this event possible. We are honored to have been able to celebrate Black History Month by connecting current and former students, and are looking forward to more SARC collaborations. Maire is just learning digital photography for the first time, so although these images may not be perfect, we still wanted to share them.

We have an exciting panel event THIS EVENING in collaboration with the Black Student Union and ISEA for Black History Month. Join us for a panel on Passion and Purpose and navigating careers during and after Clark, and how identities play a role in this. There will be five Clark alumni guest speakers from various majors, whom you can see more about on our Instagram post. The event is starting at 7:00pm and planning to end around 8:30pm, taking place in ASEC (Alumni and Student Engagement Center) lobby and Room 202. Free food will be provided. Thank you to all the alumni (Briana Azier, BSBA, MBA, Gloria Agossou, Biko Gayman, MHS Stacey Lawrence, and Luke Blackadar) who are able to join this panel, and all the Clark students (Ethan Wellington, Leyla Knight, Thomas C. Montanari, Maire Grace Geoghegan, Rosleyry Rosario, Precious Sutton, and Maggie Connors) and staff including Naomi Ashley, Alexis Dinkins, and Cynthia Ironson who have worked so hard to make this possible!! Cannot wait to see y'all in a bit! We hope to see you at this alumni event celebrating Black History Month tonight!

SARC is hosting a vision board making night next Wednesday evening! Many successful people credit part of their success to making vision boards, as a way to manifest (or visualize) what you want to see in the future. By displaying your completed vision board, you will see it daily and can help to motivate you throughout the year to achieve steps towards your goals. These goals can include academic, career, travel, finances, personal development, and anything else you want out of life! Feel free to join us in making physical or virtual vision boards and take this time to also chat about what SARC is and our plans for the semester, and how to be more involved!
