Say hello to Ms. Hays, a Budget Accountant in our Finance Department with an incredible 21 years of experience, including 9 in her current role! ??? Her favorite part of the day? Assisting schools and departments with their questions and needs. When she’s not crunching numbers, she enjoys listening to live music and spending time with her three dogs. ???? The most rewarding aspect of her job? The coworkers who have become great friends. And her unique talent? Bringing comic relief with just the right touch of sarcasm! ?? The best advice she ever received came from her former assistant principal, who encouraged her to pursue her degree despite a busy schedule. She took the leap, earned her degree, and now holds a role that required it—a decision she’s proud to have made! ?? #SCSTeamBehindtheScenes

?? Teacher Tuesday! This is Ms. Savage, a Kindergarten teacher at Laurel Nokomis School who is passionate about creating a love of learning for her students from the very start of their educational journey. ?? Ms. Savage pursued teaching because she wanted a career she treasured where she could make a meaningful impact. She thrives on the opportunity to guide the diverse personalities in her classroom and instill a lifelong passion for learning in each child. Her favorite subject to teach is reading, as she gets to witness the incredible transformation of her students—from knowing just a few letters to reading confidently by the end of the year. ?? The pride and excitement on her student’s faces when they master reading are moments she treasures. In her classroom, successes are celebrated big and small, with positive affirmations and cheers to uplift every achievement. Her favorite advice? “Everything is hard before it is easy”—a reminder to keep learning, growing, and encouraging others to do the same! Outside of school, Ms. Savage enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. ???? #TeacherTuesdaySCS

Ms. Gindoff’s passion for teaching began early—she told her kindergarten teacher she’d be a teacher one day! She loves working with kids and cherishes the “light bulb moments” ?? when her students grasp a concept they’ve been working on. Her favorite subject is reading, and she enjoys teaching her students to read and write. She hopes to pass along a love of books, saying, “Books can take you anywhere!” #TeacherTuesdaySCS

?? Please say hello to Mrs. Crawford, a VPK teacher at Venice Elementary School! Originally from Altamonte Springs, Florida, Mrs. Crawford attended UCF before pursuing her dream of becoming a teacher. Inspired by the incredible teachers who supported her as a child, she set out to be the same guiding force for her students. She loves being one of the first educators in her students' lives, setting the stage for a magical educational journey. "I became a teacher to be in the corner of the smallest people, navigating what feels like the biggest challenges. There's something truly special about this role, and I love making it memorable for my students." ?? Fun fact: Pre-K songs are always in her head—even Snoop Dogg's child affirmation song, which she jokingly calls "the worst… but also the best!" When she's not teaching, you might find Mrs. Crawford roller skating down the Legacy Trail or at the skating rink with her family and friends. ? #TeacherTuesdaySCS
