Sapphire Rise Incorporated is a 501c3 nonprofit group working to increase the participation of underserved populations in STEM initiatives designed to inspire individuals to become more informed about opportunities to get involved and to support sustainability, innovation, and inclusion in our STEM community and beyond. We are motivated by our belief that Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) affect the everyday lives of people in our local community, with national and global impact. The US needs more global competitiveness for the anticipated 11% growth in STEM Careers (enough workers with education or workforce development). Using educational reforms and innovative initiatives, we help underrepresented populations grow and foster a transformative pathway to STEM Careers in their formative years.
