We are very pleased to announce the addition of Holly Framsted, CFA to Sapere Aude Consortium, Inc.'s Board of Directors. Holly was a first generation student at UCLA who believes deeply in our purpose of introducing first generation college students to investment and wealth management. She is currently Head of Global Product Strategy and Development for Capital Group, and has presented to our interns the last two summers as part of our Education Program. “I am really happy to be joining Sapere Aude’s Board of Directors, as I believe first generation students have much to add to our industry, and we will all be better off for their engagement.” Thank you to all our directors for their commitment to our purpose - Kaitlyn Fischer and Bill Dunigan of BlackRock; Emily Pachuta of Ascensus; Ashley McManus of InvestCloud, Inc.; and our founders, Joseph Craven; Robert Job of Altrinsic Global Advisors, LLC, and Joseph Gennaco. Sapere Aude is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit who provides research internships to rising sophomores and juniors who are first generation or children of public servants. Our mission is to improve their access to paid, rising senior internships at investment and wealth managers. We have provided 106 internships over the five year history of our organization.

Our ESG team recently completed an?Opinion Snapshot?titled?ESG Essentials—A Fresh Perspective, addressing the lack of standardization in ESG investing.? Their analysis highlights the importance of realigning ESG with its original purpose, while advocating for greater investor choice. The team emphasizes how clearer frameworks can drive transparency and empower investors to make more informed, impactful decisions. We are excited to release the first Opinion Snapshot from Sapere Aude Consortium, Inc.'s 2025 class of interns: "The Twentysomething’s Guide to Financial Well-being (While Not Missing Out on the Fun Part!)." The team of Nana Hayrumyan of Hamilton College, Meaghan Day, of Williams College, Peter Bitalvo and Roseline Tavarez of Providence College, and Anaga Hettiarachchige of Queensborough Community College of The City University of New York (CUNY) created a new framework for an issue that many have written about – from their unique position as college students who are First Gens or children of public servants. Our team believes that in your 20’s, you should always be conscious of TIME by Learning How to Make and Spend your Money; and Automating Saving and Investing your Money. Our team is planning to communicate this framework to their classmates in a series of workshops – and we hope to expand its use beyond these schools. We would like to thank Lacy Garcia, CEO of Willow, Anne Lester, author of "Your Best Financial Life" and Tyrone Ross Jr. of 401 Financial for spending time with our team and and sharing their expertise on these important issues. And, we also acknowledge the many who have written on this subject and who are included in the endnotes, especially Professor Scott Galloway of NYU Stern School of Business and author of "The Algebra of Wealth", Morgan Housel, author of "The Psychology of Money," Yanely Espinal, author of "Mind Your Money", and Meg Jay, author of "The Defining Decade," who added greatly to our team’s work.
