We achieved a profit of €12,574 million in 2024 (+14%), exceeding all our targets thanks to strong revenue growth across all global businesses and regions. We also added 8 million new customers to a total of 173 million. 2024 has been a groundbreaking year in our transformation with key milestones including the launch of Openbank in the US and Mexico and the successful adoption of global platforms, including the migration to our ‘go-to’ core banking platform Gravity in several markets. ?? This month, talented professionals from our division completed their involvement in this year’s Young Leaders initiative, a corporate programme that recognises and develops outstanding talent within the Santander Group. The closing sessions featured compelling talks from Javier Garcia Carranza, our Global Head of Wealth Management and Insurance, Samantha Ricciardi, CEO of Santander Asset Management, Armando Baquero Ponte, Global Head of Santander Insurance, and Ignacio Bernal, Global Head T&O and of Tech Strategy at WM&I. Committed to supporting communities ?? We believe in the power of giving back and making a real difference. This month, our teams around the world have continued to support meaningful causes that reflect our commitment to social responsibility. In Glasgow, our team at Santander Asset Management UK strengthened their partnership with the Courtyard Pantry Enterprise, providing financial support and hands-on volunteering to help tackle poverty. In London, they made their third visit this year to the Euston Food Bank, where they prepared food packages and launched a Christmas Toys Appeal for local children. With three more visits planned, their commitment continues to grow. Meanwhile, in Mexico, Santander Private Banking employees collected plastic bottle?caps to raise funds for children's cancer treatments. Other measures we are implementing to support recovery: ??We’ve removed ATM fees in the province of Valencia for non-customers and will not charge our customers for withdrawing cash from other entities. ??We are waiving fixed costs for POS terminals for two months in businesses in the affected areas and strengthening our teams to help people resume their activities as soon as possible. ??We are working with government institutions to provide financial aid packages through the AEB to help entrepreneurs and the self-employed rebuild their businesses. ??We are also contacting our insured customers to expedite the procedures for compensation from the Insurance and Agriculture Insurance?Compensation Consortium. ?
