You’ve probably heard of appendicitis… but there are several other possible causes of severe abdominal pain, like a gallbladder attack, bowel blockage, even a heart attack can cause pain in your abdomen. While many causes of stomach pain are minor and will pass - like gas, menstrual cramps, indigestion. But, if you have sudden, severe or stabbing pains that don’t go away, or that are accompanied by vomiting and high fever, don’t delay. Trust your gut instincts and call your doctor or get to the ER.
