This #GivingTuesday, we're honored to introduce you to one of our incredible patients, Aristea. A devoted patient of San José Clinic (SJC) since 1994. Her journey with the Clinic began while she was working at a taquería across from SJC’s former location on Hamilton Street. Listening to customers share stories of the compassionate care they received sparked her curiosity, and she decided to experience firsthand what San José Clinic had to offer. Over the years, Aristea has utilized nearly all the services available at the Clinic, including vision care, women wellness services, laboratory testing, radiology, and medical and dental treatments. Living with chronic conditions like high cholesterol, diabetes, and high blood pressure has been a challenge, but San José Clinic has made managing her health possible. “If I didn’t have the Clinic to help me, I wouldn’t be able to afford even one month of my diabetes medication, which costs $800 somewhere else,” Aristea explains. “The Clinic has really been very helpful because I wouldn’t be able to get the care I need anywhere else.” For Aristea, San José Clinic is a source of care, comfort, and stability—a place she can always rely on to provide the healthcare services she needs, no matter what. San Jose Clinic is excited to recognize Dr. Jack Pollard as the Volunteer of the Quarter! Since 2020, Dr. Pollard has been dedicated to San Jose Clinic to coming weekly to deliver patient care. As an instrumental member of our Gynecology team, Dr. Pollard provides lifesaving procedures which help diagnose cervical cancer and other gynecological issues. Year to date, we have provided 2,319 Female patients with 12,706 visits across all service lines. As we continue to prioritize women's health and wellness, we are thankful to all of our providers and especially to Dr. Pollard for volunteering to care for patients who have nowhere else to go for obtaining healthcare. #volunteersmakeadifference #healthcarevolunteers #nonprofit
