As we celebrate #TransgenderAwarenessWeek, it’s important to understand how transgender employees navigate the workplace. Depending on where they are located or what field they are in, trans employees may not feel comfortable to be out in the workplace. In addition, requesting gender-affirming care, sharing personal pronouns and/or a name with coworkers, or coming out can be stressful events that may take time. What we can do to support our trans and nonbinary coworkers is create an inclusive and safe environment for everyone to live their authentic selves.??

One of the questions I receive most often is whether US prosecutors, and the SEC in particular, have jurisdiction over foreign companies and individuals. Adani and his web of companies are based in India. It does not matter. A company does not have to be American or listed on an American stock exchange for the SEC to enforce. Back to the classics with the SEC and out with the ESG and the more nuanced cybersecurity rules. Regardless, fraud is still everywhere, and we will adapt accordingly. "Legal observers say that, under a new chair, the SEC likely will abandon ESG rulemaking and will stop trying to implement its new rule requiring public companies to disclose greenhouse gas emissions . . . Novel legal theories also likely will be out, including its controversial push to apply internal accounting controls to cybersecurity, legal observers said."

"Twenty-five years ago, a small group of activists lit a candle in the dark and moved a community to remember our dead.?We come together again to grow that light, mourn our loved ones, and ensure that nobody is forgotten." Today marks #TransgenderDayofRemembrance, a day to honor and remember those who have lost their lives to transphobia. For the past 25 years, November 20 has been used to bring to light the violence many in the transgender community face just for being themselves. Each year, Advocates for Trans Equality (f/k/a National Center for Transgender Equality) publishes a Remembrance Report to honor transgender individuals who have passed away. As transphobia and transphobic policies become more prevalent in this country and around the world, it is essential for us all to create inclusive spaces, constantly learn, and stand with gender diverse individuals. Last April, the Ninth Circuit upheld a class action in California under ERISA related to UnitedHealth's use of an algorithm to deny mental healthcare coverage.
